Exchange places for Faculty of Science and Engineering
In the Search engine you will find all universities with which the Faculty of Science and Engineering has agreements for exchange studies during 2026/27. Please refer to the information below for guidance on how to use the filters and interpret the data presented, please see How to use.
For each exchange place you will find information about:
- which subject the exchange place covers
- if the agreement is recommended for specific programs
- the level of the agreement; bachelors's, master's or doctoral level
- links to course catalogs or website
- language of instruction and whether any form of certificate of language proficiency is required
- travel reports from former exchange students
"More details" shows information about the exchange place. Find inportant information about requirements such as where you are allowed to study, eligibility and language requirements, level of study and other restrictions. You will find information about how many exchange places we have at the university and the total number of semesters we can send to the university per academic year.

Subject area
Subject area is the subject for which the agreement is signed; it can provide guidance on, for example, the range of courses or with whom the agreement has been signed at the university. Sometimes there are several exchange places with differerent subjects for a university.
You can choose other subject areas than what you study at LiU.
- Exchange places outside Erasmus only have subject area Engineering and engineering trades. It is a broad subject area that can include various subjects in technology / science (engineering / science / technology).
- To find an exchange place within Erasmus, there are several subject areas to choose from. Note that Engineering and Engineering trades exists but not as an overall area. You can use different subject areas related to your programme, such as computer science for students studying Computer science, Business administration if you want to take courses related to this.
Students at the programs Ii, Yi, GDK and CM can select their program in the drop-down menu in the "Subject area" to find places that are reserved for the program. Places reserved are stated in the name. They should not be chosen and cannot be assigned to other students.

Study programme shows suggestions for different programs. The filtering is not comprehensive but should only be seen as a suggestion. There may well be more universities that fit a program or specialization at LiU.
